Town of Lebanon residents are invited to a public information session with Paul Romaneko, DEC Forester with the NYSDEC Forest Stewardship Program, on January 21,2025 , 6:30 pm at the Town of Lebanon Offices ( 1210 Bradley Brook Rd ). The public is invited to hear more about private forestry management, the free consulting resources ( Stewardship Plan) available for landowners via the NYSDEC Stewardship program, and suggestions on when to utilize a private consulting forester. There is no minimum property requirement for this program, and is suggested for any area residents interested in developing commercial or agricultural use of existing forests or general (non-commercial) forestry management of residential property. No forest concern is too big or too small for this program. This program is presented by the Town of Lebanon Ad Hoc Committee on Environmental Policy , a committee tasked with developing an environmental Policy proposal plan for the Town of Lebanon . the committee is currently seeking interested residents to join for monthly meetings to research and address a series of localized topics including, but not limited to, forestry, agricultural best practices, local food ways promotion, home heating / design efficiency, etc. for more information on the Ad Hoc or the upcoming program, please email Adam Carvell , TOL Board Member and Ad Hoc Liaison, at carvell.leb@gmail.com
